Usually by mid-April, Spring has arrived to Central Alberta. Daily temperatures have warmed up, most of the snow has gone, and we get some showers or very light snowfall that melts almost as soon as it falls. By late April, homeowners are out cleaning up their gardens and lawns in preparation for a new growing season. It looks like that will be delayed by a week or two this year. We arrived back from California only to be greeted with a light snowfall over several days.
So, I decided to go out into our backyard and take a few photos of the accumulated snow. The first three are monochrome images, the final, my favourite, is in color.

Here is my favourite.
